Author Biography
Barbara Gerke (M.Sc. Medical Anthropology and D.Phil. Social Anthropology, University of Oxford) completed a DFG-funded project on Tibetan mercury processing practices at Humboldt University in Berlin (2011- 2015) and currently holds a two-year, FWF-funded, Lise-Meitner Senior Postdoc Fellowship at the University of Vienna, where she is researching biographies of Tibetan precious pills.
