The goal of this program is to provide students with a basic understanding of environmental processes and issues (locally and worldwide), and to help students develop the verbal, analytical, and quantitative skills needed to address the environmental problems facing the world today. The major emphasizes the need for an interdisciplinary approach to searching for effective remedies to these problems.
