Active Learning Stategies and Tools for Asynchronous Online Information Literacy Instruction

Description

For schools with a large number of online programming, it can be challenging for librarians to provide information literacy instruction for online classes that equals the quality of our instruction for in-seat classes. It can be particularly difficult to employ active learning strategies online, especially for situations where asynchronous instruction is our only option. This session will demonstrate the use of several free, online active learning tools such as Playposit, Insert Learning and Tes Teach, that librarians can use to make asynchronous online information literacy instruction more interactive.
