Description
In the fall of 2016, Northwestern University Libraries undertook an ambitious project of upgrading all of our Springshare subscriptions virtually at once. Building on our previous success in migrating to LibGuides 2.0, NUL decided to upgrade to LibAnswers 2, LibCal 2, LibGuides CMS and LibInsight. The enhanced functionality of the new versions allowed us to realize several organizational goals. We were able to explore ways to improve the user experience and integrate these products to make our library resources and services more visible. One particularly exciting part of the upgrade is the LTI integration in LibGuides CMS that allows us to import guides directly into course sites in Canvas – something we expect to be a total game changer. Come learn about our experience managing this multiple upgrade while developing better services and finding ways to engage our staff to leverage their expertise and encourage creativity. This session will be useful for anyone who is interested in user experience, library staff development, integration of library resources into learning management systems, team building, and project management.
