The rising popularity and ubiquity of infographics is changing the way that people receive information. Thanks to new online tools, libraries can easily create their own professional-looking infographics with minimal time investment and cost. This presentation will provide an overview and comparison of six ‘freemium’ infographic creation platforms. The presenter will discuss best practices for infographic creation, based on the design literature, as well as provide suggestions for using infographics for library advocacy and as teaching tools in information literacy classes.
