Libraries in the Cloud

Description

It’s hard to watch TV or go online these days without hearing about “the cloud”. What is the cloud and, more importantly, why should libraries care? Here's why: libraries can use it to reach out to patrons, create efficiencies for staff, and even save money on new services. In this session, Mike and Donovan will talk about different concepts of Cloud Computing including the newest iteration: Personal Clouds. Finally, we will look more closely at some of the hottest tools out there for living in the cloud.
