Jessica Vantine Birkenholtz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Religion at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her book manuscript (under contract with Oxford University Press) presents a comprehensive study of the local Nepali goddess Svasthani and the Svasthanivratakatha textual tradition.
