Liana Chase is an MSc student in Social and Cultural Psychiatry at McGill University. Her research focuses on forced migrant mental health and is situated at the intersection of anthropology and psychology, applying methodologies from both fields to advance our understanding of the human capacity for resilience. Liana has worked previously with asylum seekers in Boston and Montréal and with Bhutanese refugees in the refugee camps of eastern Nepal and the resettled community of Burlington, VT.
I would like to thank Dr. Michael Hutt for inviting me to take part in this conference and Dr. Sienna Craig for her mentorship during the fieldwork that my conference presentation drew from.
