Author Biography

Liana Chase is an MSc student in Social and Cultural Psychiatry at McGill University. Her research focuses on forced migrant mental health and is situated at the intersection of anthropology and psychology, applying methodologies from both fields to advance our understanding of the human capacity for resilience. Liana has worked previously with asylum seekers in Boston and Montréal and with Bhutanese refugees in the refugee camps of eastern Nepal and the resettled community of Burlington, VT.
