Tapestries: Interwoven voices of local and global identities
Abstract
In this article, I provide a basic description of why death is not to be feared or viewed as a misfortune by employing the Epicurean view on the subject, which relies on the philosophical schools of hedonism and materialism. The main goal of the article is to provide a path towards the abandonment of the fear of death so that a more more perfect life can be lived: one that has attained "ataraxia."
