Tapestries: Interwoven voices of local and global identities
Abstract
This series of photographs was taken as part of a week-long digital photography course in the San Francisco Bay Area. The origins of these images speak, to me, in generations: the photographs on the right-hand side were taken outside the home of an elderly man who has been collecting vintage cars for the past 40 years. The photographs on the left were taken at a popular tagging spot in Albany, California, where local artists are encouraged by the city to make art with the materials they have found in the area. All photographs were taken by the submitter in 2008.
