Evolving Workflows at the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Digital Library

Now in our eighth year of working with the Minnesota Digital Library Reflections Project, Digital Projects Assistant, Jennifer Claybourne Torkelson and Metadata Librarian Greta Bahnemann will discuss some of the key elements that have shaped, changed and challenged the University of Minnesota's Digital Library Services workflow process.

Ms. Claybourne Torkelson will reflect on the past, present and current challenges managing the digital image capture workflow as it relates to physical space, new equipment, training and supervising student workers, and quality control while balancing state a wide, university wide, and library digitization projects with overlapping deadlines.

Ms. Bahnemann will discuss how the creation of her position impacted metadata creation and data normalization within the Minnesota Digital Library and how those changes have impacted our project contributors and end-users.
