Is there a tech gap? -- A Faculty / Student Instructional Tech Survey

Presenter Information

Ian C. Mason, Cornell CollegeFollow

Description

This poster session will share the results of a campus-wide survey conducted by the library and institutional research at Cornell College to address technology usage, satisfaction, and any technological gaps that might exist between faculty and students at Cornell. The results will be presented in aggregate, alongside conclusions by the library staff and faculty, based on the survey results. The survey itself addresses local needs on campus, as well as broader concerns shared by libraries and the larger academic community regarding classroom technology integration and student learning. It is our belief that libraries can play a more prominent role in furthering institutional technology goals and shaping future institutional policies by conducting similar, localized surveys, followed by focused discussion amongst the faculty.
