Using Trillian to handle electronic reference inquiries, including chat and text

Description

This session will walk participants through the “how-to” of setting up a virtual reference hub through the chat program Trillian. Trillian is an extremely cost-effective way to offer additional avenues, like chat and text reference, for reference inquiries. We will look at options for chat reference using Trillian, as well as e-mail notification options and text message (SMS) reference. We will cover the basics of setting up and using the program, and will work through any more advanced questions that might arise. Participants will walk away from this session with a strong understanding of how to set up and use Trillian to manage reference inquiries in a variety of electronic formats.
