We migrated a subject repository, AgEcon Search (http://ageconsearch.umn.edu/} from DSPACE (http://www.dspace.org/) to Islandora. Islandora is a system that has a Fedora (http://www.fedora-commons.org/) back end and a Drupal (http://drupal.org/) front end. This way we capitalized on the the strengths of both Fedora and Drupal. Fedora provides robust and flexible interface and Fedora provides robust low level data management. Also to complete the migration we converted the DSPACE Dublin Core metadata to MODS.
