Nationwide, the use of Ereaders and EBooks is increasing. Libraries have to face this technological and educational challenge amidst difficult economic times. What are some best practices in the selection of Ereaders and EBooks for different types of libraries? Two faculty from St Cloud State Learning Resources and Technology Services, one librarian and one information specialist, along with at least one other member of the EBook Committee, will share their experience in organizing a team of librarians, library staff, IT people, and information specialists to determine what type of EReader would be most appropriate for our library. The team needs to address numerous questions from Reference, Circulation, Collections, Cataloging, InforMedia Services and IT when making decisions in the adoption and implementation of this new technology and media format.
